PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage medium in which pieces of character information corresponding to plural languages can be recorded by providing a 1st recording area where information segments including sound information are recorded and a 2nd recording area where character information regarding the information segments and the language code of the character information are recorded. SOLUTION: The storage medium has the 1st recording area where the information segments including sound information are recorded and the 2nd recording area where the character information regarding the information segments and the language code of the character information is recorded. Namely, information is recorded all in digital signal on a disk 5 reproduced by a player part 4 to record sound information of a karaoke playing sound, etc., th character information regarding the sound information, e.g. a number, a singer's name, a composer's and a songwriter's name, etc. The reproducing device can, therefore, read and display the character information. Further, the language code of the character information is recorded on the recording medium, thus pieces of character information corresponding to plural languages can be recorded. |
