Disclosed is a pneumatic pressure operated cylinder apparatus (100) capable of operating a cylinder assembly (30) only using pure air as driving power and of providing rotational power created during operation of the cylinder assembly (30) to an outer workpiece. The cylinder assembly (30) of the apparatus according to the present invention transforms an expansion energy of air supplied from an external air source (12) through an air line (14) to the cylinder assembly (30) into a kinetic energy. The cylinder assembly (30) includes a rubber tube (36) and a corrugated tube (38) capable of expanding by the air, and a cylinder casing (34) enclosing the rubber tube (36) and the corrugated tube (38). Reciprocal movement of the cylinder assembly (30) is guided and supported by at least one guide assembly (60) which cooperates with the cylinder assembly (30). The guide assembly (60) includes a first rack (66), a pinion (68) and a second rack (67) which are engaged with one another. The guide assembly (60) is connected to a first elevating auxiliary device (70) by means of a first chain (50) and a second chain (55) which cooperates with the first chain. The first chain (50) extends between both upper ends of the first rack (66) and the second rack (67). The first elevating auxiliary device (70) assists the guide assembly (60) in doing its work to surely maintain the balance of the cylinder assembly (30) and supports the reciprocal movement of the cylinder assembly (30) and the guide assembly (60) during the reciprocal movement of the cylinder assembly (30). At least one second elevating auxiliary device (90) for determining a range of upward movement of the cylinder assembly (30) is installed at one side of the cylinder assembly. |
