The connection has a muff housing end (4) of the second pipe section (7) with a lining element (2) which on one side has a sealing fabric element (2.3), and on the opposite side a seal indicator (2.2) protruding partially beyond the muff housing end. The tapered end (5) of the second pipe section has a partial lining element (13) on its outer face (14). The seal indicator may be constructed partially as a ring and may be connected to a sealing ring (2.1) in the joint between the two pipe sections.
