PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonoriented silicon steel sheet having lower iron loss after finish annealing. SOLUTION: A slab, having a composition consisting of, by weight, <=0.005% C, 1.5-3.5% Si, 0.05-1.0% Mn, <=0.005% (including 0%) N, 0.1-1.0% Al, <=0.001% (including 0%) S, 0.03 0.15% P, and the balance essentially Fe, is hot-rolled, and the resultant hot rolled plate is acid-pickled, subjected to hot rolled plate annealing in an atmosphere of >=60% H2 concentration under the condition of 1-6 hr soaking time, and then cold-rolled once or cold-rolled two or more times while process-annealed between cold rolling stages to prescribed sheet thickness, followed by finish annealing. |
