发明名称 Improvements relating to the manufacture of gasoline-like hydrocarbons by the polymerisation of hydrocarbon gases
摘要 <PICT:0489105/IV/1> Hydrocarbons suitable for use as motor fuel are obtained by subjecting a stream of normally-gaseous hydrocarbons to elevated temperature and pressure sufficient to convert them to normally-liquid products which are immediately cooled by contact with an absorbent oil containing absorbed gaseous hydrocarbons, separating the gasoline products from the gases and returning the gases to the conversion stage. The crude gases are preferably washed with an oil to absorb the fixed gases contained therein and this oil is used to absorb the hot conversion products. Mixed gases containing hydrogen, methane and paraffins and olefines having two to four carbon atoms per molecule, e.g. gases from a cracking plant, are delivered by a compressor 10 through a line 11 into a high-pressure absorber 12 provided with plates, trays, &c. 13 where the gases are treated with a countercurrent flow of oil admitted through a pipe 14. The residual gases, e.g. hydrogen and methane, escape through a line 15 while the absorbent oil with dissolved gases is passed through heat exchanger 22, and either through coil 87 and line 88 or through line 20, into a fractionating tower 25 into which the conversion products are introduced through a line 26 and from which reflux is re-cycled through lines 27, 29, 31 to the tower 12. Products in the gaseous state escape through line 35, cooler 36, separator 37, and stripper 47, where gases are separated and re-cycled through line 40 to tower 12, to a stabilizer 54 from the bottom of which stabilized gasoline is withdrawn. The gases which escape from the stabilizer are passed through a cooler 62 and purifier 68 and after compression by a pump 73 are passed to the conversion coil 75 and soaker 78 the products being cooled in the line 26 by admixture with oil from the tower 12 supplied through line 81. Temperatures of 750-1250 DEG F, or 400-600 DEG F., in presence of a catalyst, are maintained in the coil 75 while the pressure in the tower 25 is in excess of 200 lb. per sq. inch.
