PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of executing two-way display so that both of display utilizing external light and display utilizing light from an illumination panel are sufficiently bright. SOLUTION: The illumination panel 10 is arranged on the rear of a liquid crystal display element 1 and consists of a 1st light guide body 11 forming one end face as a light incident end face 11a, forming its front as a step-shape face 12, forming plural reflection films 13 on plural steps 12a of the face 12 and forming plural step-like faces 12b as outgoing faces for light made incident from the end face 11a, a light source part 14 arranged oppositely to the end face 11a of the light guide body 11 and a 2nd light guide body 17 arranged on the step shape face (12) side of the body 11 and capable of penetrating light projected from plural step difference faces 12b from its back, projecting the light to the front, projecting light made incident from the front to the back, penetrating light reflected from the reflection films 13 from the back, and projecting the light from the front. |
