PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate irrational presentation of recommended routes which doubles a Roll to be collected by setting a cost-changing means relatively increasing a cost for a route whereby a vehicle runs a toll road of a constant toll again after getting off the toll road. SOLUTION: In calculating a recommended route by a car navigation apparatus, crossroads on a map are separated to nodes and road parts between the crossroads are separated to links. Link IDs 1-8 are attached to the links. An expressway 52 is indicated by a thick line, and a general road 53 is shown by a thin line. A cost related, e.g. to a distance is defined for each link. A distance from a start point 50 to a destination 51 is shorter when one passes the general road 53. When the like 1 is connected to the link 7 from the link 8, one runs again the precedent expressway 52 for a route 1→8→7 and a toll would be levied duplicately. Therefore, a predetermined cost different from the cost defined for each link is added to the route. |
