A tool (3) for removing debris from a helical blade (2) of an auger (1) or other screw-conveyor, the tool (3) comprising a central shaft (4) about which is helically arranged a plurality of radially projecting elements (5). In use, the tool (3) is rotated as the auger (1) is withdrawn from the ground, and the radially projecting elements (5) pass between adjacent flights so as to remove locked-in soil.
