PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve excellent picture quality and keeping quality even when high speed color image formation is performed by using a water-based ink contg. a dye with high solubility. SOLUTION: In this method for forming a color image, the max. pickup of a water-based ink with magenta color to an ink receiving layer contg. a water-soluble polymer is made to be 60-90 wt.% of the max. pickup of water- based inks with other colors and it is furthermore pref. that timing for receiving the water-based ink with magenta color is delayed to the water-based inks with other colors. In this case, when C.I. acid red 52 is used as a coloring agent of the water-based ink with magenta color, run preventing effect is large. In addition, this image forming method is suitable for ink-jet recording system. |
