PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy and workability of optical fiber fusion splicing. SOLUTION: This optical clamp 10 is composed of a pressurizing block 2a for pressurizing and fixing an optical fiber 1 mounted on a V groove member 50, a supporting arm 2 held at the other end of the pressurizing block 2a, a rotary shaft metal fitting 3 fixed to the other end of the supporting arm 2, a supporting outer cylinder 4 for slidably housing the rotary shaft metal fitting 3 and an energizing spring. In this case, a positioning pin 30 is fixed to the rotary shaft metal fitting 3, a positioning slit 40 is pierced on the side face of the supporting outer cylinder 4, the pressurizing block 2a is positioned through the rotary shaft metal fitting 3 and the supporting arm 2 by moving the positioning pin 30 along the positioning slot 40 and the pressurizing block 2a pressurizes and fixes the optical fiber 1 mounted on the V groove member 50 by the energizing spring. |
