PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To receive plural digital broadcast signals of different broadcast systems in a small circuit scale. SOLUTION: The individual receiving parts A, B... acquire the transport streams from the received broadcast signals via the signal processes corresponding to each broadcast system. Then the transport streams are converted into the isochronous packets by 1394 I/F circuit A5 and sent to a common receiving part 13. The part 13 decodes the received transport streams and acquires the digital broadcast signals via an MPEG2 decoding process. The digital broadcast signals are converted into the broadcast signals of NTSC system by an NTSC encoder and can be viewed on a monitor. As the processes following the decoding process of the transport streams are carried out in common among the parts A, B..., the circuit scale can be reduced.
