PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely secure the remaining capacitance of a storage means or mail box at an electronic mail client, to surely secure the use area of another processing program and to reduce complexity in client maintenance management. SOLUTION: At an electronic mail client 3, the value of empty capacity in a storage means 40 is set, and the empty capacity of the storage means 40 is acquired by a remaining storage means capacitance calculating means 35. When the empty capacity of the storage means 40 exceeds a prescribed value, a received mail deleting means 45 automatically deletes mail in order from the oldest mail until the empty capacity of the storage means 40 is settled into prescribed value or mail capable of being deleted is exhausted. Besides, the deletion limit of received mail 401 is set, and a mail time stamp 402 is checked by a mail deletion limit monitoring means 34. The mail 401 over the mail deletion limit is automatically deleted by the received mail deleting means 45. |
