PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide versatility to the size of a fusion splicing reinforcing sleeve by forming plural housing grooves whose cross section is semicircular or U-shaped and housing the welded reinforcing sleeve in parallel. SOLUTION: This fusion splicing part housing case 6 is a member formed into a thin and long shape as the whole from synthetic resin such as plastic or the like and the two housing grooves 15 for housing the fusion splicing reinforcing sleeves 14 of single-core optical fibers 10 with each other are formed in parallel on one side face extended along a longitudinal direction. For both housing grooves 15, a diameter is about 1.5 mm and a cross section is semicircular respectively and the fusion splicing reinforcing sleeves 14 of the diameter 1.5 mm or a smaller diameter dimension are stably housed in correspondence. Thus, just by the adjustment of a housing groove shape, the welded reinforcing sleeves are efficiently and stably housed regardless of the size and the shape. Also, by the parallel pleural housing grooves, the plural fusion splicing reinforcing sleeves are housed with high density. |
