PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection type display device capable of lighting the display to be observed from the front side sufficiently. SOLUTION: A first light transmitting member 13 having plural lines of groove-shaped recessed parts 14 with V-shaped cross sections on a reflecting plane 12a of a reflecting member 12 is opposed to the back of a display panel 10 and inside these respective groove-shaped recessed parts 14, a second light transmitting member 15 having a refraction factor lower than that of the first light transmitting member 13 is provided. In this case, the interface between the first and second light transmitting members is made into optical interfaces 16a and 16b for reflecting or transmitting the incident light to that face corresponding to its incident angle. Then, the incident light of a prescribed incident angle range made incident on the front face of the first light transmitting member 13 and reflected light reflected on the reflecting member 12 are refracted on the optical interfaces 16a and 16b and a directional reflecting board 11 is arranged for emitting the reflected light from the front face of the first light transmitting member 13 toward the front face. |
