摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically carry out restoration in the case of a temporary abnormal state of cooling water, and stop a refrigerating machine for self- holding in the case of a completely abnormal state thereof. SOLUTION: A refrigerating machine 25 directly cools a superconductive magnet 24. A control device 31, based on a command signal from a protective device 32 of a compressor 33, judges a state of cooling water as a temporary abnormal state which is recovered immediately in the case where the number of abnormal states of cooling water are not more than a specified value, and automatically resets the refrigerating machine 25 without stopping it to prevent the superconductive magnet 25 from quenching. On the one hand, in the case where the number of abnormal states of cooling water are larger than the specified value of the above, the control device 31 judges the state of cooling water as a completely abnormal state which is not recovered immediately so as to stop the refrigerating machine 25 for self-holding. Therefore, in spite of the case of a temporary abnormal state of cooling water temperature wherein the refrigerating machine 25 is free from a trouble of quenching, it is possible to stop the refrigerating machine 25 so as to cause self-holding thereof, and prevent the quenching of the above from occurring.
