PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inexpensive magnetic card with good stability of quality showing good reproducing output of magnetic recording and having wide latitude for design. SOLUTION: This magnetic card is produced by using an overlay sheet for a magnetic card. The overlay sheet consists of a hard vinyl chloride sheet 1 having 50 to 300 μm thickness and a magnetic recording layer 2 applied all over the one surface of the sheet 1. The magnetic powder used in the magnetic recording layer 2 consists of Co-coated γ-Fe2 O3 having 600 to 800 Oe coercive force and >=80 emu/g residual magnetization, and the magnetic powder is included by 80 to 90 wt.% of the magnetic recording layer 2. |
