The piezoelectric convertor has a laminated element (3) made up of a number of piezoelectric ceramic material layers (2a..2n). It also has a first, a second and a third terminal electrode (4,5,6) each formed at different positions on an outer surface of the laminated elements (3). The device has a number of first drive electrodes (7a,..7n) which are electrically connected to the first terminal electrode (4). At least one second drive electrode (8) is electrically connected to the second terminal electrode (5). The or each of the second drive electrodes (8) lies opposite one of the first drive electrodes (7a,..7n) via at least one of the ceramic layers (2a,..2n) positioned between them. At least one of the first drive electrodes (7a,..7n) or the second electrode(s) (8) has a number of perforated sections. This enables the two ceramic layers positioned on opposite sides of the drive electrodes (7,8) to be connected to each other at a number of positions. |
