The contact spring (1) has a retaining lug (3,5) at either end (2,4), each extending in the direction of the opposite end, with a curved spring section (8) between the fixing points of the retaining lugs, with its apex extending across the width of the spring. The curved spring section may lie closest to the operating end (4) of the spring.
