A metal mold (1) for molding a resin has a texture on a cavity type surface thereof, and a brightener-containing layer of coating formed on a surface of the texture, whereby the only brightness of the texture formed on the cavity type surface can be regulated by only removing fine recesses and projections without sacrificing the coarseness of the texture as a whole, whitening phenomenon due to galling being prevented when a texture-carrying insulated runner mold is used; and an excellent molded product.
