The invention relates to a device and a method for reallocating an actuating element to a remote control device, comprising the following: a base station (10) which is only available to one authorised user; an actuating element (40) for operating the base station (10); storage means (15, 25) in the actuating element (40) and in the base station (10), allocation information (16, 17, 18, 27, 28, 31) allocating the actuating element (40) to the base station (10) being stored in said storage means; and a wireless transmission link (30) which is configured between the base station (10) and the actuating element (40) for carrying out contactless remote control. The inventive method is characterised by the following steps: the base station (10) determines the presence of an already allocated actuating element (40) within the range of the signal transmission link (30); the base station (10) determines the presence of an actuating element (40) to be reallocated; the allocation information (16, 27, 28, 31) is transmitted from the already allocated actuating element (40) to the actuating element (40) to be reallocated, and the already allocated actuating element (40) is blocked to prevent the allocation information (16, 27, 28, 31) from being transmitted again. |
