The frame structure, for a window or door, has the ventilation path (12) formed in a frame section (13), produced separately from the frame beam (11). They are assembled so that an air flow (14) is deflected in the ventilation path. The frame section is a hollow body, with inserts to deflect the air flow in a serpentine path. The frame section is of injection molded plastic or metal.
