摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid wasteful use of an airbag device and an air belt device while ensuring the necessary and sufficient restraining force by controlling the operation of the airbag device and the air belt device according to the magnitude of the impact in a collision. SOLUTION: When a vehicle is collided at a low speed, an airbag 6 and an air belt 16 are not inflated together, and an occupant is restrained only by the air belt 16 which functions as a single seat belt. When the vehicle is collided with an intermediate speed, only the air belt 1 is inflated to demonstrate the necessary and sufficient restraint. When the vehicle is collided at a high speed, both the airbag 6 and the air belt 16 are inflated to demonstrate the maximum restraint. The economical load on a user can be reduced by prohibiting the inflation of the airbag 6 or the air belt 16 when sufficient restraint is obtained by other restraining means.
