<p>PURPOSE:To easily divide a fiber tape without flawing a single-fiber jacket by dividing a flawed part of the fiber ribbon, which is flawed with a cutting blade, lengthwise and pressing the fiber ribbon set to a guide means movably in the lengthwise direction. CONSTITUTION:Guide pins 9 set the fiber ribbon 12 at a specific position about cutting blades 10a and 10b and serve as a guide when the fiber tape 12 is moved lengthwise and drawn out. When the fiber ribbon 12 is set to the guide means and pressed with an upper arm 4, the cutting blades 10a and 10b stick into the fiber ribbon 12 at a specific position between fibers. At such a time, the cutting blades 10a and 10b stick into the fiber ribbon to specific depth, which is shallow enough not to reach single-fiber jackets. In this state, the fiber ribbon 12 is drawn out lengthwise and a cut flow is formed in the surface of the fiber ribbon with a small drawing-out force. Fiber ribbon terminal parts are divided first, a dividing pin 11 is inserted, and the divided fiber ribbons are drawn out, so that the flawed part can easily be split with a breadthwise force for separating and spreading by the dividing pin 11.</p> |
