The invention refers to an animal arrangement for and a method of managing a herd of animals including at least one milk producing animal and at least one milk consuming animal. The arrangement comprises a first area (1) provided to house said milk producing animal and a second area (2) being separated from the first area (1) and provided to house said milk consuming animal. The first area comprises a milking station provided for milking of said milk producing animal. Furthermore, passage means (20) are provided to permit passage of said milk producing animal between the first area (1) and the second area (2) but prevent passage of said milk consuming animal between the first area (1) and the second area (2). |
