<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize a thermal decomposition oil obtained from polymer waste and convert it into a high-quality oil by bringing the decomposition oil into contact with an aq. hydrogen peroxide soln. and/or an aq. ozone soln. SOLUTION: An oil obtd. by thermally decomposing polymer wastes at 300 deg.C or higher in the presence or absence of a catalyst is stabilized by the oxidation by the contact with an aq. hydrogen peroxide soln. and/or an aq. ozone soln. at normal temp. to 250 deg.C. The contact of the oil with an aq. oxidizing agent soln. is carried out by injecting the oxidizing agent soln. into the oil through the liq. injection part of a nozzle or by mixing the oxidizing agent soln. into the oil under stirring. An aq. hydrogen peroxide soln. is prepd. by dissolving hydrogen peroxide in water or by dissolving sodium percarbonate, etc., in water in a concn. of 1-35 wt.%, and is used in an amt. of 10-400 g (in terms of H2 O2 ) per l of the oil. Pref., an aq. ozone soln. with a concn. of 1-50 ppm is prepd. with an ozone soln. production apparatus and is used in an amt. of 1-250 mg (in terms of O3 ) per l of the oil.</p> |
