PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always make the bringhtness distribution of a processed image constant even if the brightness of an RGB color image is changed with the elapse of time. SOLUTION: A printed matter inspection apparatus is equipped with a color camera 10, an RGB coefficient calculation part 20 for calculating an RGB coefficient used when a color image is converted to a monochromatic processed image, a monochromatic conversion part 30 for converting the color image to a monochromatic image and an inspection processing part 40, and the inputted color image is used to calculate the RGB coefficient which is, in turn, multiplied at every RGB value of the color image to be added to form a monochromatic processed image. |
