PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the optical waveguide module with good production efficiency which can increase the coupling precision between waveguide cores of an optical waveguide and a photodetector and a light emitting element without performing any complicated machining operation. SOLUTION: The optical waveguide which has 1st, 2nd, and 3rd waveguide cores 1 to 3 is formed on a substrate 10, the 1st waveguide core 1 is cut obliquely halfway at two positions to insert an optical filter 5 which transmits only light of specific wavelength into one cut part and a half-mirror 6 into the other cut part, and while one end of the 2nd waveguide core 2 is connected to the intersection of the 1st waveguide core 1 and optical filter 5 and one end of the 3rd waveguide core 3 is connected to the intersection of the 1st waveguide core 1 and half-mirror 6, PD 7 is provided facing the other end of the 3rd waveguide core 3; and one end of the 1st waveguide core 1 is polished obliquely to provide a reflecting layer 9 on the polished surface, LD 8 is provided on an optical waveguide part which should make a light signal incident on the reflecting layer 9 through the flank of the 1st waveguide core 1, and the 1st optical fiber 14 is connected to the other end of the 1st waveguide core 1 and the 2nd optical fiber 15 is connected to the other end of the 2nd waveguide core 2. |
