The actuator has a pin guided armature (6) between separate switching magnets (4,5) for valve actuation in connection with a closure spring (7) and an opening spring (8). The opening spring acts on the armature and is clamped onto the closure switching magnet. The armature is fixed to a one-piece pin (9) that passes through both switching magnets and is only guided by two bushes (10,10') in one or both magnets. The free end of the pin interacts with a movable spring plate of the opening spring.
