TRANSGENIC ANIMAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a transgenic animal incapable of producing intrinsic osteoclast inhibition factor(OCIF), thus having extremely low lethality immediately after delivery, capable of propagating and useful for screening or the like of preventive and therapeutic medicines for bone metabolic disorders. SOLUTION: This transgenic animal cannot produce intrinsic osteoclast inhibition factor(OCIF) and develops bone metabolic disorders such as osteoporosis. Furthermore, the transgenic animal is preferably a mouse and it is preferable to carry out screening of preventive and/or therapeutic medicines for bone metabolic disorders by using this animal.
