<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with a running cost for treating used ozone gas by introducing the used ozone gas into the existing incinerator of a water treatment installation or into exhaust gas from the incinerator and discharging the ozone gas into the atmosphere. SOLUTION: An ozone gas is decomposed at a decomposition rate of about half a day in terms of the half-life in the atmosphere at normal temperatures. However, the half-life becomes exponentially shorter in a high temperature gas. Therefore, in order to make ozone gas treatment costfree, ozone gas used for water treatment is introduced into a high temperature exhaust gas in an existing incinerator or the exhaust pipe of the incinerator at a water treatment installation. The ozone gas introduced into the high temperature exhaust gas in the incinerator or the exhaust pipe is rapidly decomposed in the high temperature gas to be discharged into the atmosphere. In addition, the ozone gas for which oxygen is used as a raw material gas acts as a combustion assistant gas in the incinerator, since the gas containg 93-100% of oxygen is used.</p> |
