PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promptly detect the fault of a computing element without using a test program or the like and without inviting an overhead. SOLUTION: In the case that an instruction to be executed stored in a register 20 is not an NOP instruction, an NOP decoder 5 preserves the instruction in the register 30 and input operands inside the registers 21 and 22 in the registers 31 and 32 respectively and preserves an arithmetic result in the computing element 1 at the time in the register 7. On the other hand, in the case that the instruction to be executed is the NOP instruction, the NOP decoder 5 selects the instruction preserved in the register 30 by a selector 40 and the input operands preserved in the registers 31 and 32 by the selectors 41 and 42 respectively, makes an arithmetic operation in the computing element 1 based on the selection information be performed and compares the arithmetic result with the past arithmetic result in the register 7 by a comparator 8.
