PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a switching failure of a liquid crystal from occurring and also prevent colors from being unbalanced when they are increased in definition. SOLUTION: In a simple matrix type liquid crystal panel for displaying in color, adjacent 4 bits are composed of 2 bits having wide areas and another 2 bits having half narrow areas, and color filters 6R, 6G for the two colors of RGB three colors are arranged in the two wider bits and color filters for the remaining one color 6B, 6B are arranged in the two narrow bits. Thus, even when the definition is increased up to 282 dpi, a minimum bit width can be made larger than 20 μm, and it is thereby possible to prevent the switching failure of the liquid crystal from occurring. Moreover, it is possible to equalize the areas of the color filters 6R, 6G, 6B with each other by making an area ratio of the wide area to the narrow area to 2:1, and this prevents the colors from being unbalanced. |
