The hand-held motor power tool, e.g. a chainsaw, has a channel (9) for the motor air intake defined by the housing base (7), and a channel wall (8) forming a double base for the fan housing (6). The channel wall is at a tangent over the circumference of the housing base. It is linked with the peripheral wall (12) of the housing covering the fan wheel (5), with a gap to form a peripheral air channel section.
