An improved castor wheel 1, with safety features, for a baby stroller comprises, a wheel 19, a hood 2 for the wheel 19, and a braking device, wherein the said braking device comprises a ball shaped member 31, an extension member 32, a rubber sheet 34, whereby when the ball shaped member 31 loses contact with the ground, as when the stroller is about to fall down a stairway 9, the rubber sheet 34 comes into contact with the wheel 19 braking the said wheel 19, and if the said wheel 19 travels too fast, an eccentric force created during fast rotation will throw a rod (13 Figure 5) provided in the wheel 19 outwardly to be caught by a stopping hook (221 Figure 5) and stops the wheel 19.
