The invention relates to an endodontic accessory which, combined with a settable (curable) material, makes it possible to make a seal between the oral medium and the tooth to be treated or to be reconstructed. It consists of a cylinder (1) and a peripheral rim (2) in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the cylinder. These two parts are connected by a wide flaring (5). The free end of this cylindrical part (4) can be fitted to the cervix of the tooth (8) or of the stump (10). A settable material (11) makes a seal at this level and blocks the accessory on the tooth to be treated. The rubberised region (7) is pierced conventionally, separated and fitted over this accessory. This achieves a seal between the tooth (8) to be treated or the stump (10) to be reconstructed and the oral medium. The periphery (3) of the rim (2) cannot be torn off because it is smooth. <IMAGE> |
