PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save time and labor of a user and to accurately rewrite a telephone number by providing a telephone set with a function for reading a stored tele phone number of a prescribed digit number, converting and rewriting it to a digit number format determined beforehand and storing it. SOLUTION: A program for converting a telephone number is stored in a ROM 9. Then, a user is to convert a communicating party telephone number of ten digits stored in a RAM 11 to eleven digits, the user operates a function key of an operation part 3 and commands activation of a conversion program to a CPU 7. At the time of receiving the command, the CPU 7 executes the conversion program of the ROM 9, reads the communicating party telephone number of ten digits stored in the RAM 11, converts it to the communicating party telephone number of the format of eleven digits and rewrites it to the RAM 11. That is, the stored contents of the RAM 11 are automatically converted from the communicating party telephone number of ten digits to the communicating party telephone number of eleven digits. |
