PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable natural and smooth curve interpolation between sample points. SOLUTION: Respective sample points formed on an XY plane are sampled at specific intervals and are replaced with sample points on a virtual Xt plane at a virtual Yt plane perpendicular to the XY plane, and the respective sample points are interpolated according to the respective replacing sample points on the virtual Xt plane and the respective replacing sample points on the virtual Yt plane. The interpolating process is performed by an interpolating filter having such filter characteristics that an impulse response of sinx/x as, for sample, an infinite series is quit when separating from a main pulse the positive time side and negative time side by two code sections and the impulse response before and after this is absorbed in the two code sections centering on the main pulse. Consequently, the respective sample points can be interpolated with a natural and smooth curved line and more accurate and natural characters, etc., can be printed. |
