The apparatus consists of a bowl (3) which receives water from a supply and has an outlet with a siphon (8). The bowl also incorporates a nozzle (10) for ejecting a jet of a liquid/gas mixture (water/air) into the open end of the outlet duct (21). The nozzle opens into the upstream end of a low-pressure chamber (12) at the bottom of the bowl, equipped with an air intake (11), with the nozzle, chamber and intake configured to produce and air/water mixture for injection into the siphon. The duct (21) has a loop with at least one spiral and a radius greater than the duct's internal radius.
