PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a solid processing agent having improved solubility at a reduced production cost with improved production stability. SOLUTION: When the solid processing agent for photography is produced through agitating and granulating processes, at least part of the granulating process is carried out in an atmosphere at 35-120 deg.C. Solid particles of 1.0-150μm particle diameter occupy >=60% of the total weight of the solid processing agent and the processing agent contains reductone, saccharides and PEG.
