PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely transmit data between a subscriber and OLS(on-line service) by installing a central transceiver unit in a telephone central station and an authorization server in an 'Ethernet (R)' network. SOLUTION: The provider of a telephone service installs the authorization server 14 on a WAN 10 and installs the central transceiver unit ATU-C4 in the telephone central station 33 prior to the connection of the subscriber. At the time of initial power ON, the ATU-C4 communicates with the authorization server 14 and establishes all required addressing information. The subscriber connects a computing device 2 to a remote transceiver unit ATU-R1. Since the power of the respective computing devices 2 is ON, the session of the WAN 10 is established between the computing devices 2 and the authorization server 14. Then, the server 14 delivers the HTML file of a service registration template to the computing devices 2.
