An antifoam agent contains a combination of (a) unsaturated or saturated, linear or branched carboxylic acids with 10-22 C atoms; (b) polypropylene glycols and/or ethylene/propylene oxide block polymers with molar masses in a range of 1000 to 5000; (c) primary alcohols with 5-16 C atoms and/or glycerine fatty acid esters in a weight ratio of 1-30 parts per weight (a) to 0.1-50 parts per weight (b) to 50-90 parts per weight (c). Also disclosed is its use for defoaming paint coagulation baths.
