<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing an alkenyl-substituted aromatic hydrocarbon by using a specific solid base. SOLUTION: In a method for producing an alkenyl-substituted aromatic hydrocarbon by alkenylating an aromatic hydrocarbon containing a hydrogen atom at theα-position of a side chain, a solid base obtained by heating hydrotalcite, a potassium compound and metal sodium or hydrotalcite, a potassium compound and sodium hydride in an inert gas atmosphere at 100-700 deg.C is used as a catalyst.</p> |
