The laser source (LAS) generates power pulses transmitted along an optical tube or optical fibbers (T.F.) to a target (CBI) placed immediately adjacent to a subject (A). The target, which is made from a metal such as molybdenum, emits X-rays (REX) which form a picture (MIA) on a sensitive receiver (R).
