The gas tank consists of a truncated conical shell with semi-elliptical domed ends, set in the ground with its smaller diameter end facing downwards. The upper end has a cap for filling and outlet equipment, and lugs for lifting the tank out of the ground. The upper and lower ends of the tank are in contact with concrete slabs, the upper end slab being ring-shaped with central and peripheral holes for the cap and lugs.
