PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the burden of a monitorial inspection processing. SOLUTION: Converting an electric variable sent from a power system into a digital value, a computation processing means 1 of a protective relay computes a relay judging variable to judge the relay as operative or as inoperative at a predetermined period based on the relay judging variable. When the computation processing means 1 of the protective relay judges the relay operative, a monitorial inspection processing means 2 so performs the monitroial inspection processing of the relay at a short predetermined period that the mointorial inspection processing is completed at an earlier time than the operative time of an auxiliary relay 5. On the other hand, when the means 1 judges the relay as inoperative, the means 2 performs the monitorial inspection processing of the relay at a longer predetermined period than the short predetermined period. An output processing means 3 outputs to a driver 4 of the auxiliary relay 5 a tripping output signal 12 of the output of a logical multiplication means 15 to excite the auxiliary relay 5. |
