<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system which makes batch control of a plurality of balasts using a single control device and which and can make simultaneous changing-over of lamps between lighting-up and putting-out irrespective of dispersion in the control signal levels of the balasts without requiring shutting- off of power supply to the balasts. SOLUTION: A lighting system comprises a control device emitting a control signal whose level varies in compliance with change in the input signal, a plurality of balasts 1, 2,...n to be put in parallel connection to the control device through signal lines, and lamps 1, 2,...n which are connected with the output ends of the balasts and controlled in compliance with the change in the control signal, whereby the lamps are put under lighting control until the control signal attains the specified level and are put out at attainment of the specified level, wherein the control signal varies gradually until at least one lamp comes to a stage immediately before being put out, and varies steeply in the direction of all lamps being put out at attainment of such a stage by at least one lamp.</p> |
