<p>The instrument, designed to be moved manually over the skin, consists of a hollow housing (1) with end (2,3) and side (4) walls, forming a suction chamber which is open towards the skin. It also has a handle (8), a connector for a suction source, and a pair of parallel free-running inner rollers (12,13) which form a skin fold and roll it has the instrument is moved over the skin. The inner rollers are located wholly within the housing, are subject to the reduced pressure inside the suction chamber, and are situated above the level of two free-running outer rollers (16,17). These lie parallel to the inner ones and adjacent to the housing's end walls, the lower edges of which are situated between the two sets of rollers.</p> |
