The device comprises two unlockable discs provided with cooperating elastic lips and a tongue for urging the cap against the flange in a radial direction. A locking device for a product provided with at least one flange, comprises two or more disc-shaped parts (2, 3) movable in an axial direction with respect to one another. The first part (2) is provided with a number of lips (5) elastically deformable in the radial direction, whilst the second part (3) is provided with a tongue (23) opposite the lips. The two parts are moved relative to each other between an open position where they are spaced apart, and a closed position where the two parts are pressed together and the tongue urges the lips against the flange. In the closed position the two parts can be fixed into position using a locking mechanism (17). An Independent claim is also included for a packaging container fitted with the above removable locking device.
