Demountable handgrip for umbrella

The handgrip (14) is fitted to the shaft (13) of the umbrella by a bayonet fitting enabling the user to fit different handgrips, to match color schemes of clothes, etc. The bayonet coupling has a hollow section (18) fitted to the shaft by a locking peg through the coupling and through the shaft. A locking sleeve (20) has a sliding fit on the coupling to lock the coupling and prevent inadvertent loosening. The sliding fit is provided by axial grooves moving over the protruding ends of the peg which secured the coupling to the shaft.
