PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve capacity to identify odor. SOLUTION: A plurality of known odor substances that are the same kind as substances to be measured are measured in advance, the identification property of a plurality of odor sensors with response characteristics different from each other is judged, and a weighting coefficient corresponding to the contribution of the identification is determined. When measuring the odor substance to be measured, a multiplication part 43 multiplies a detection signal obtained from a plurality of odor sensors by coefficientsα1-α16 and stored in a weighting coefficient memory 45 in advance. An operation-processing part 44 uses the plurality of weighted data for executing a multivariate analysis processing, thus identifying or classifying odors.
